Each year, Idaho businesses are forced to pay the “Personal Property Tax” on their tools, equipment, furniture, computers and other tangible items related to their operation.

This tax is unfair and hurting Idaho businesses, it’s also bad for our economy. The “Personal Property Tax” on business creates a disincentive for businesses to invest in new equipment because they are then taxed on that equipment every year they own it.

The Idaho State Legislature is considering proposals to eliminate the “Personal Property Tax on Business”.  But unless they hear from you and other Idaho business people, the tax will probably continue.
